There's only one newcomer to the Top 10s this week as the FAB 50 boys and girls frontrunners combined for a 28-1 week last week.

Such stability will be challenged this week.

The Virginia regional tournaments, the Tennessee state finals, and even Utah's large-school state tournament should prove major challenges to the six boys Top 10 teams still playing.

On the girls side, it won't be long before the five FAB 50 Top 25 Illinois Class AAA teams and the four Top 25-ranked Virginia 6A programs start going head-to-head.

The big match this week is the Colorado 5A final featuring a pair of undefeated state powers -- No. 5 Broomfield (Colo.) and No. 11 Grandview (Aurora, Colo.).

BIG MOVERS: BOYS: Kearney (Neb.). Kearney jumped from No. 40 to No. 27 following a state title win last week. With 20 of the 26 teams ranked in front of Kearney still playing, it is likely this team will keep moving up in future rankings. ... GIRLS: Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, N.C.). Charlotte Latin moved up five spots to No. 15 following a fourth straight state title. The team still could inch its way back to the Top 10, where it started the season.

NEWCOMERS: BOYS: No. 48 Cosby (Midlothian, Va.), No. 49 Briar Woods (Ashburn, Va.) and No. 50 Smithfield (Va.). ... GIRLS: No. 41 Briar Woods (Ashburn, Va.), No. 42 Powers Catholic (Flint, Mich.), No. 43 Ankeny (Ankeny, Iowa), No. 44 Lexington (Lexington, S.C.), No. 45 West Des Moines Valley (West Des Moines, Iowa), No. 46 Pinecrest (Southern Pines, N.C.), No. 47 Glenbrook South (Glenview, Ill.) and No. 48 Millard North (Omaha, Neb.).
