Purdue lands first two commitments for 2020
Two players from the same state have recently committed to join the same Big Ten program in the class of 2020.
Emily Mathews and Sarah Bridenstine, both from Michigan, committed to join Purdue.
Mathews, the No. 60 ranked recruit for the class of 2020, was called up to the U.S. U16 Girls National team camp in San Diego back in March. She plays for Naitonals Union in U.S. Youth Soccer, and has been a member of the ODP Region II team.
A club teammate at Nationals Union, Bridenstine will continue to play with Mathews at Purdue. The No. 20 Regionally Ranked player in the Great Lakes, she’s enjoyed strong performances at the Disney Soccer Showcase earlier this year and the 2016 Girls ODP Thanksgiving event.
The Michigan duo is the first two players to commit to join Purdue in 2020.
